The Company currently has two 800,000 sq. ft. mixed use developments in China, a new build project in Shanghai and the refurbishment of an existing building in the north east city of Shenyang. Detailed design has been completed on both projects and work on site, under a The Company has a joint venture with a local partner who will manage the construction phase.
The prime responsibility for the Project Manager is to monitor the work of the local partner to ensure that the two projects in China are completed on time and within budget. The Project Manager will also lead on all technical, managerial, administrative and procedural aspects of other development projects, predominantly in China, from due diligence through to inception and completion. The successful candidate will be degree qualified and will have a minimum of ten years' experience in the construction management of commercial/mixed use developments. It is essential that this person has requisite local knowledge of development projects in China, gained with an international firm. Fluency in Mandarin and English is also mandatory. Key competencies are:
- Proven ability to take a leadership role through all stages of a development project and the establishment of effective interface with partners, regulatory authorities and consultants.
- This person will possess a high level of communication and team collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
A high calibre candidate may have a future opportunity to assume a wider role as part of the company’s planned expansion into the global development market.
Basic Monthly Compensation: RMB 60,000 to 80,000 (can be in the equivalent amount of HK$)
