The Group trades and markets commodities such as grains, oilseeds, rice, sugar, ethanol, coffee and cotton on an international basis. Its involvement in commodities includes processing of citrus fruits, oilseeds and sugar cane. The Group has become active in the biofuels industry. The Group also trades ocean freight, metals and financial instruments.

 

 Energy

 

The Group is active in the merchandising, trading and storage of natural gas, natural gas liquids, refined products, coal, plastic resins and other petrochemicals. In Europe, the Group is an alternate supplier of electricity to small companies, multi-site networks and local communities.

 

 Real Estate

 

The Group’s property company is the operating partner of joint ventures that engages in the acquisition, development and management of commercial office properties and resort hotels.

 

 Diversified Activities

 

Electricity Distribution The Group is involved in the distribution of electricity in Europe

 

 Renewable and Biomass Energy The Group invests in well located forests to be used as platforms for production of a carbon-neutral energy supply, fuelled sustainably by the forests' biomass, solar, geothermal and wind resources. Electricity from this embedded generation will be distributed to proximate consumers over local networks. The Group will build in its forests commercial and residential carbon-neutral developments that will be supplied with indigenously produced heat and power.

 

 

THE POSITION: PRODUCT CONTROLLER

 

 

LOCATION: JAKARTA, INDONESIA OR SINGAPORE (whichever is preferred)

 

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Indonesia the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

 

1) Control all trading positions – formulate appropriate processes to ensure completeness and timely trade capture and reporting, reporting in the appropriate risk and P/L centers with regard to regional/group structure

 

2) Ensure proper mark-to-market of open positions and accruals for the different positions, independently gather and/or verify reasonableness of market prices used,

 

3) Oversee preparation of daily/weekly P/L and control and reconcile with monthly reporting

 

4) Coordinate the work of in-region controllers and ensure integrity of monthly management reporting

 

5) Prepare country annual budgets and reforecasts, participate in business plan process

 

6) Control G&A and analyse actuals vs budgets, ensure appropriate allocations to platforms

 

7) Oversee all broker accounts and accounts with OTC counterparts, check daily margining, monitor margin calls

 

8) Ensure respect of transfer pricing principles with regard to cross-border transactions

 

9) Coordinate cash flow projections for trading and commercial activities

 

10) Participate in IT projects in the country to implement effective systems for trading, execution, positions control, market risk, credit, cash management, accounting etc.

 

11) Supervise support staff and upgrade level and skills of direct reports

 

 

 

1) Recognized degree in finance and/or accounting

 

2) At least 8 years post qualifying experience, last 3 of which should be in a similar capacity in an MNC environment

 

3) Experience in business involved in risk management or financial markets, preferably in commodity, desirable

 

4) Fluency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English language.

COMPENSATION: Dependent upon qualifications and experience and will be in line with market expectation
